Assembling the DT Series

Grasp crimped contact approximately one inch (25.4 MM) behind the contact barrel.
Hold connector with rear grommet facing you.
Push contact straight into connector grommet until a click is felt. A slight tug will confirm that it is properly locked in place.
Remove orange wedge using needlenose pliers or a hook shaped wire to pull wedge straight out.
After all contacts are placed, insert orange wedge with arrow pointing toward exterior locking mechanism. The orange wedge will snap into place. Rectangular wedges are not oriented and may go in either way. Procedure is the same for plug and receptacle.
To remove contacts, gently pull wire backwards while at the same time releasing the locking finger by moving it away from the contact with a screwdriver.
